Go off-road and get even closer to wildlife!
Members of our Animal Management team will escort you through The Wilds in a customized four-wheel drive truck. They'll share facts about rare and endangered animals, like rhinos and giraffe, as they roam, feed, and play in over 10,000 acres of breathtaking pastures. Wildside Tours are presented by AEP Ohio.
This is a seasonal tour offered between May and November.
- Daytime tours are offered 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. daily.
- Sunset tours start at 5 p.m. during June and August, and 4:30 p.m. during September. Dinner is served with this tour.
- ADA-friendly tours are available.
- Tours are approximately 2 hours+ long.
Checkout
Choose your tour's timeframe, select your date range and move forward with the reservation process. If you'd like to book other tours or lodging for the same time frame, look for the "Add To Booking" button during your checkout process.
Once complete, you will receive a confirmation email where you can add and edit guest details.

- Animal experiences may vary.
- Reservations must be made 24-hours in advance.
- Reservations are subject to availability.
- Parking is $8/vehicle.
- Closed-toe shoes are required.
- Dress for the weather! We recommend casual clothing meant for the elements.
- Tours typically run rain or shine.
- If The Wilds postpones or cancels the tour, guests will be offered to reschedule or to participate in another tour.
