A NEW TOUR FOR NATURE LOVERS!
When you visit The Wilds, you most likely say, "WOW!" when you see the rolling pastures and prairies. Not just because of the endangered animals roaming them, but because of the incredible backdrop that nature growing on a once-stripped mined provides.
This tour takes you behind the scenes with our Ecology team. You'll learn about:
- American Burying Beetles by visiting their breeding center
- Eastern Hellbenders in our brand new conservation center
- Wildflowers by strolling the prairies

- Offered May 1 through October 31
- Offered every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
- COST: $35/person
Know Before You Go
- Participants must be age 6 or older.
- This tour can be paired with other tours at The Wilds.
- This tour requires some walking. Closed-toe shoes are required.
- Dress for the weather! This tour typically runs rain or shine.
- If The Wilds postspones or cancels the program, guests will be offered to reschedule or to be refunded at no additional charge.
