What is Enrichment?
Enrichment gives animals a customized outlet for physical activity and mental exercise that mimic actions and behaviors that they would use in their natural environment.
This workshop will explain why enrichment is an important part of our animal care plan, and guests will help team members from The Wilds create animal enrichment too! After the workshop, you will receive photos and/or video of the enrichment you created being used.
Cost
- Youth: $15/guest. Activities include painting boxes, stuffing puzzle feeders, carving/stuffing pumpkins and decorating current enrichment items.
- Adults: $30/guest. Activities include making piñatas, carving/stuffing pumpkins and weaving browse/grapevines
Know Before You Go
- This workshop is available daily.
- Reservations are subject to availability.
- Three full weeks’ advance notice required.
- A minimum of 10 paying guests required.
- Parking is $8/vehicle (exceptions made for coach/school buses and 15-passenger vehicles).
