Go out on safari right here in Ohio with your choice of a Safari Transport Pass or Open-Air Safari tour included with your stay.
Relax around the fire ring in the evening, miles and miles from traffic and urban lights, and look up at the grand open skies. You'll want to pluck a star -- they're so close.
Listen to the quiet evening sounds cape created by familiar native wildlife like crickets and frogs -- punctuated by unusual, non-native sounds like Sichuan takin or Pere David's deer.
Savor dinner and breakfast, created by the Wilds' professional chef, in settings with magnificent views.
Watch the sun set over the hills, then rise again over the valleys from atop this splendid ridge.

Your overnight package includes:
* Choice of a Safari Transport Pass or Open-Air Safari tour for each guest.
* Dinner and breakfast for two created by the Wilds' professional chef.
* Staff concierge to assist you with your stay.
Each yurt is designed to accommodate two people (one queen bed or two single beds in the Woodland Yurts; one king bed in the Grand Yurt), each with a private bathroom and deck.

Woodland Yurts: $325 per night plus tax.
Grand Yurt: $425 per night plus tax.
Wilds Members: 10% discount (not applicable toward tax) on any booking.
Guests at Nomad Ridge at the Wilds must be age 21 or older.
Maximum
two guests per yurt.
Nomad Ridge at the Wilds is open May through October.

The Wildside
Tour: Wilds members $100 per person;
non-members $125 per person. Available
daily May through October.
Sunset
Safari: Wilds members $50 per person; non-members
$55 per person, when reserved on the same evening of your Nomad Ridge
overnight stay. Available
Fridays and Saturdays only June through September.
Advance reservations for Nomad Ridge are required. Contact
the Lodging Coordinator at 740-638-5030 ext. 2001 or lodging@thewilds.org to make your reservation. In
order for us to accommodate your needs, please tell us of any dietary
restrictions or food allergies at the time of your reservation. To ensure
availability, we recommend you reserve specialty tours at the time of
your booking.
One Woodland Yurt is ADA accessible. Please inquire about needs and availability.
For
families with children who are interested in an overnight experience
at the Wilds, we recommend Family
Camp Weekends that are designed
with youth and families in mind, including a weekend full of hands-on
programs and safari tours providing fun and experiential learning. Guests
stay at the Wilds' Conservation
Education Camp, a Mongolian style yurt village.
What is a yurt?
A yurt is a nomadic-style structure made of canvas stretched over a
wooden frame. The yurts at Nomad Ridge at the Wilds are built
on platforms and have bamboo floors, screened windows, and solid wood
doors. Each
yurt contains a private bathroom with shower.
Payment
Full payment due is required at time of booking to secure your reservation. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
Arrival & Departure
- Check-in 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Nomad Ridge Concierge Yurt.
- A late fee of $25/hour will be assessed if arrangements to arrive after 4 p.m. are not made in advance.
- Please note that the Wilds is located in a very remote and rural area where cell phone service is limited.
- Check-out by 11:00 a.m.
Cancellations
If your reservation is cancelled more than 14 days prior to your stay, your deposit will be refunded less a $50 processing fee. If your reservation is cancelled within 14 days of your stay, you will forfeit the entire payment.
No pets are allowed anywhere on Wilds property. Guests are not permitted to leave their pets in their vehicles in the visitor parking lot.
