Discover the Wilds—one of the largest and most innovative conservation centers in the world. Your extraordinary adventure includes encountering rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, and other rare and endangered species living in natural, open-range habitats at this 10,000-acre center. Friendly and knowledgeable interpretive guides will help you learn about the animals and the important conservation work at the Wilds—advancing conservation through science, education, and personal experience. Dining in the Overlook Café offers breathtaking views of the Wilds’ landscape while your group enjoys a catered meal. Selections from Boxed Lunches to a Hot Buffet are available to suit your group’s appetite and budget.
The Wilds’ Gift Market includes unique items from around the world reflecting our commitment to global conservation.
Four weeks advance notice preferred, reservations subject to availability. A minimum of 20 paying guests required. Reciprocal zoo membership and other discounts do not apply.
Complimentary admission for one escort and one driver, parking is free.
All visitor areas are ADA compliant. Wheelchair accessible safari vehicles are available upon request.

Education/Youth Safari (Enclosed Safari Transport or Group’s vehicle)
Tour time approximately 2 hours including a stop at the Carnivore Center. Available 7 days a week May through October at select times.
Cost: $7/student (grades 12 and under); 1 chaperone per 8 students required (free if minimum of 15 paying guests has been met); $17/additional adult; children ages 3 and under free
Private Safari (Enclosed Safari Transport vehicle)
Tour time approximately 2 hours including a stop at the Carnivore Center. Available 7 days a week May through October at select times.
Cost: $19/adult, $18/senior, $14/child; children ages 3 and under free

Step-On Safari (Using Group’s vehicle)
Tour time approximately 2 hours including a stop at the Carnivore Center. Vehicle must be a 15 passenger vehicle or larger (No minivans or RV’s). Available 7 days a week May through October at select times.

Open Air Safari (Open Air Safari vehicle)
Tour time approximately 2.5 hours and include stops at the Carnivore Center and the Lake Trail. Available 7 days a week May through October at select times

Group Sunset Safari
Sunset Safari tours are given on Open Air Safari vehicles and begin at 5 p.m. June through August; 4:30 p.m. in September (dinner takes place following the safari tour in September). Tour time approximately 2.5 hours including a stop at the Carnivore Center. Minimum 30 guests required. Available Sunday – Friday, June through September

Deposit Policy
No deposit required. Step-On Agreement (for Step-On tours only) and Chaperone agreement (Education Youth Safari only) must be received 14 business days prior to your scheduled visit to secure your reservation.
Payment Policy
Payment is due upon arrival. Please be sure to review the cancellation policy. We will accept one form of payment from groups and are unable to accept payment from individual group members. Purchase orders accepted for school groups only.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made at least 14 business days in advance. If your reservation is cancelled less than 14 business days prior to your visit, you will be charged a $50.00 processing fee.
After final payments and counts are received there will be no refunds under any circumstances unless the tour is cancelled by the Wilds.
Checking In
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time to enable your group to check in, be greeted by our staff, use the restrooms and allow your tour to start as close to your scheduled time as possible.
All group leaders must stop at the parking booth before proceeding to Johnson Visitor Center for check in.
Late Arrival
If your group is delayed in transit and expects to be more than 15 minutes late, please contact the Wilds immediately. PLEASE NOTE: Groups arriving after scheduled tour time will be accommodated as our staffing allows and will be charged a $50.00 late fee.
