Robert W. Teater Conservation Education Camp

Our “Yurt Village”

Education: Smiling

The Wilds camp facility is a Mongolian style yurt village with modern restrooms and shower house set among the forests, wetlands, and grasslands of the Wilds.

The four participant yurts have screened windows, wooden floors, and 12 bunks in each. Meals for Safari and Hands on the Land Camps are served at the dining yurt and are prepared by the Wilds restaurant staff. A kitchen yurt is attached to the dining yurt for Family and Group Rentals of the Yurt Village.

Nights are filled with the sounds of the wild – coyotes and owls talk, frogs sing, stars shoot, and campfires crackle. The campus is surrounded by trails that take you to lakes, rolling grasslands, streams, old and young forests, and cattail marshes. You will rise to the call of Red-Crowned Cranes on the neighboring ridge and enjoy wildlife as seen in few places in Ohio.
